Sam and Sweetlyn were siblings. Sam was the elder one. On Sweetlyn’s birthday dad bought a lot of candies to distribute to her friends and relatives. Birthday celebration went on so happily. Both Sam and Sweetlyn had a lot of fun that day. Sweetlyn was the happiest of all, since all were very good to her and almost everyone gave her gifts. End of that day, Sweetlyn had a hand full of candies left. When Sam saw it, he wanted to have them all for himself. So he asked Sweetlyn if she will give all the candies to him. She agreed on one condition, that he should give all the marbles that he has collected ever since. Sam loved those marbles and always used to carry them in his pockets. With a silence for couple of seconds, Sam agreed for the deal. But when he was taking the marbles one by one out of his pocket, Sam’s heart did not agree on giving the beautiful blue marble to Sweetlyn which is the first ever marble that he collected and he was having that for a long time. So he hid that in his pocket and gave the rest of all the marbles to Sweetlyn and collected all the candies in return.
Two days passed. Sweetlyn was very happy and normal and was enjoying every day as always. But Sam could not be the same child. He seemed little upset on Sweetlyn and didn’t like to be or play with her. That night Sam made up his mind to ask Sweetlyn what was bothering his mind. He went to her and asked, “Sweetlyn, on your birthday did you give me all the candies that you had, when we exchanged candies and marbles?” She smiled and said, “Yes Sam. I gave them all to you. Also thank you that you gave me all the marbles you had” and she left the room. Sam was left with a disturbed heart in that room.
